Troy State University Admissions
Elements that Troy State seeks in admitted students include intellectual capacity, maturity, experience, and motivation. As unconditional requirements, applicants must have a 2.0 or “C” grade point average in their high school coursework. Applicants must also achieve a score of 18 or greater on the ACT exam or 870 or greater on the SAT exam. If the GPA requirement is not met, a student must exceed a score of 870 on the SAT or 18 on the ACT. If neither of the test score requirements are met, a student must have a GPA of 2.3 or better. Students who are admitted under such “conditional admission” must carry a maximum of 13 hours until 24 hours of work are attempted. Students who do not meet any of the above requirements but have a 2.0 GPA and a 15+ score on the ACT may apply to the Dean of Enrollment Management for special consideration.
